Our Team

A small group of highly experienced energy entrepreneurs formed Pintail Midstream in 2019. Our understanding of the industry and diversified background provides a complimentary makeup that provides creative solutions for midstream needs.

 
 

Jeff K. Brinlee
President

Prior to helping lead the formation of Pintail Midstream, Brinlee served in several capacities while at Kingfisher Midstream within the Business Development and Commercial teams, while also managing the marketing portfolio for gas, crude, NGL’s, and water. 

Prior to joining Kingfisher Midstream, Brinlee served as Vice President of Commercial Gathering & Processing with Enable Midstream Partners.  His responsibilities included overseeing the commercial operations across the G&P footprint, inclusive of gathering, processing, NGL’s, crude, and water logistics spanning the Mid-Continent, Arkoma, ArkLaTex, and Bakken plays. While at Enable, he oversaw 7+ million acres of dedicated acreage from the Enable customer base, managed 2.5 BCF/D of processed volumes, and 4.2 BCF/D of gathered volumes. 

Before joining Enable Midstream, he held various positions at Chesapeake Energy, securing over 1BCF/D of takeaway capacity in the Eagleford, while also helping to facilitate the joint-venture partnership with CNOOC for $2.1B.  While managing the Haynesville Shale, he secured 1 BCF/D of takeaway capacity while facilitating well connections of a 35+ drilling rig program.

Brinlee holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Spears Business School at Oklahoma State University.  He serves as Chairman of the Board for the Oklahoma Energy Explorers, is a member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, and previously served on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association.

 
 
 

Zachary Hixon
Chief Operations Officer

As one of the principals of Pintail Midstream, Zac Hixon brings 24 years of extensive history and proven operational experience in gas gathering and processing, crude oil gathering, transportation and storage, and water management. He takes pride in striving for 100% customer satisfaction and maintaining positive working relationships to ensure success for Pintail Midstream clients.

Previously, Zac held the position of Operations Manager for Legion Energy where he was instrumental in the conception, design and operation of two greenfield projects in the Bakken and Mid-Continent. He was also responsible for business development and the economic evaluation of many greenfield projects as well as potential acquisitions.

Prior to Legion, Zac served as Manager of Operations for Kinder-Morgan and was responsible for the largest gathering, treating, and processing facility in the oil-rich window of the Barnett Shale. In addition, Zac held key positions in the Rockies and Mid-Continent regions for large MLP’s such as Kinder-Morgan, Copano, Encana and Transok. Over his career, Zac has been instrumental in construction and operation of a total of 1 BCF/D gas processing plants, 2 MMBLS of crude oil storage and countless miles of gather and transmissions pipelines and associated facilities.
